Restless In My Bed I Toss And Turn
Sleep Is A Distant Thought
Anxiety And Nerves Make My Stomach Churn
The Alarm Has Been Set Right … Has It Not??

I Jump Out Of Bed With My Thoughts On Foray
And Get Dressed In Record Time
My Nerves Are Strung …. Its My 1st Board Paper Today
And Being Late Would Be A Crime

With My Mind Glued To The Book … I Gulp Down Some Food
Eyes Keep Straying Towards The Clock
Nothing Seems To Improve My Nervous Mood
I Feel Like A Sheep …. Gone Astray From Its Flock

The Final Bell Rings, The Time Has Come
I Take The Paper In My Trembling Hand
I Just Stare At The Sheet Unable To Solve Any Sum
The Reason For This Initial Blankness … I Don’t Understand

Finally My Nerves Seem To Calm A Bit
And Answers Begin To Pop
I Feel More Human ….More Able To Use My Wit
Now The Flow Of Ideas Does Not Seem To Stop

I Hand The Completed Test With A Smile On My Face
I’ll Score Well … I’m Confident Enough To Know
But Hey … This Was Just The Start Of This Race
1exam Down So What …. Still 8 More To Go!!
